Aquaponics is the process of cultivating aquatic animals in order to exploit the ammonia they generate to make natural fertilizer for plants.
The Core Concept
Bacteria are the foundation of natural and artificial ecosystems. The Nitrogen Cycle that converts animal waste into food for plants is made possible by beneficial microbes.
The more diversity of life present in any ecosystem, the healthier it is.
We began this project by cultivating the bacteria essential to the Nitrogen Cycle. Once those were well established, we added Rhiza Nova microbes.
Showcasing the Success of Maximum Diversity
The 30 beneficial microbes in Rhiza Nova Complete Concentrate each play their own part. The Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria produce enzymes that plants need to flourish and remain disease resistant. The Photosynthetic Microbe strains fix atmospheric carbon and nitrogen. This makes those elements readily available to the plants in our system, while also making the system resistant to algae blooms
